• ordered Unicorn season tix & Aretha @ KC Live tix.
• cashed in a Spreesy @ The Drop: amazing cucumber mint gin martini & bruscettas!
• took in AHT's production of "Putnam Co. Spelling Bee" (cute.)

• went to the gym before work (elliptical, crunches, pushups).
• attended ULibs staff announcements committee mtg (zzz, zzz, zzz).
• updated the liberry's social media & construction blog (productive).
• popped into OfficeMax & picked up donation supplies to 49/63 Neighborhood Back-to-School Rally.
• whipped up a (ginormous) batch of (perfecto) pesto w/basil from m' "garden" (& served w/whole wheat penne)
• watched The Gates (losing interest fast) then Good Wife (better&better&better) then good night.

• prepped slides for & attended Ulibs all-staff mtg.
• had a planning meeting re: an ed/info video about the book robot.
• attended KC Urban Core Group "meeting" (happy hour) @ Retro.
• welcomed back m' Mad Men & lol'd (& sniffsniff'd) @ Kathy G (r.i.p. Chance).

• caught up on m'blog (6 entries -oy!)
• met w/ FOL prez to plan for next week's board meeting.
• stayed @ work 'til 6:30p & dug my way through 300+ emails!
• whipped up a salmon, penne, pea & (good ol') Campbells Cream of Mushroom Soup one pan dish (surprisingly delish!)
• topped off the night w/ Top Chef & Work of Art (Miles = douchebag)

Today I...

• tore down & loaded up the gear then drove to Garden City.
• picked up Nix & a cooler full of fresh (frozen) beef from the 'rents.
• washed the river, dirt, & buzillion dead bugs from my car.
• unloaded, unpacked, hosed down, & put-away the gear.
• was blown away by Inception in the VIP room @ Cinemark on the Plaza.
• watched Kathy get a paps & said settled in w/ The Closer (ahhhhh TiVo, how I missed you!!!)

Today I...

• marked a better breakfast: eggs w/ sausage, havarti, onions, & tomatoes.
• lugged our coolers to the bus & bounced off to Bennett Springs.
• floated down the Niangua back to NRO.
• passed the time playing Sorry! & drinking margaritas.
• had a meat-a-palooza grill-a-thon: brauts AND bison AND turkey AND salmon.
• went a'callin' on our neighbors (beerz in tow).

• soaked up some sun (& beerz) in the Niangua.
• enjoyed the beerbust/barbecue w/ the boyz.
• made s'mores beneath the umbrella as the storm began to brew.
