• visited Wayside Waifs to meet potential companion for Nix (but do I want a 2nd dog??).
• cheered on TopChef Tiff's dbl (even-with-immunity) win!

• filled in for la Dean on a dean's & chancellor's direct reports meeting & retreat (high profile).
• toured the new Blue Valley CAPS Program facility (impressive!)
• lunched on (boring) Boston Market (blandblandbland).
• et w/ Chief of Overland Park Police (inspiring) & toured Command & Control Center (wow!).
• relaxed reading on the roof then hung art in kitchen, hall, & den.
• enjoyed a mega-margarita & monster burrito @ Kokopelli w/ GM-W.

• enjoyed an egg salad sub from Larry's for lunched & attended a Webinar on Linked-In & Foursquare for non-profits (not terrible).
• joined Muncharoo.com & bought $20 for $9 coupon to Kokopelli!
• "oriented" new MNL Science Librarian.
• lead in Friends of the Library board meeting.
• toasted Sen. Justus @ her election results watch party (landslide win!)

• went to the gym before work (elliptical, crunches, pushups).
• lunched on sushi sampler @ Kona Grill w/ SB.
• prepared 8/19 Robot Open House e-vitations.
• hh'd at The Drop w/ BB (cucumber martinis!)
• made stuffing (instead of potatoes) & grilled (disappointingly over-marinated) sirloin steaks for dinner.

• got out & made placement decisions for all our wall art (finally).
• soaked up some sizzlin' summer sun @ MS&JR's pool.

• caught up on 12 TiVo'd shows (approx 7.5hrs).
• popped into Costco for a mega-sized items (coffee, lettuce, fiber, pasta, plums).
• whipped up a (tasty) spinach, cream cheese, mayo dip.
• saw "The Kids are Alright" @ the Palace on the Plaza (Oscar-caliber performances by Bening and Moore!)
• noshed on apps and nipped on suds @ RC&JS's.
